'The Bachelorette' ex who made surprise appearance said show left out 'juicy' interview

"The Bachelorette" lead's ex-boyfriend Matthew Rossi said he attended the "Men Tell All" reunion, but his segment was cut from the episode.

Rossi, a 28-year-old from Boston, was not part the Season 21 contestants vying for Jenn Tran's heart. Jenn and Rossi matched on Hinge before the show and he surprised Jenn while she was filming in Auckland, New Zealand.

"I would love to join you, to express to you how much I still strongly care for you," he said to her in their first reunion. He said he loved her, and Jenn was "taken aback," as they were friends after the breakup. He attended a cocktail party, but she sent him home before the rose ceremony as she decided her future was with the men already on the show. On his way out, Rossi said he felt "defeated" but welcomed the closure.

Then, in a TikTok post after last week's "Men Tell All" episode, he wrote over a mirror selfie of him in a suit, saying "when they made me come to Men Tell All, rehash everything out, just to cut the whole segment out..." and a caption that read "release the tapes it got juicy."

Who is 'The Bachelorette' right now?

Jenn Tran, 26, is a "Bachelor" alumna and the first Asian American "Bachelorette" lead in the show's 22-year history.

"Jenn Tran is a sweet and compassionate woman who has dedicated her life to helping others," Tran's "Bachelorette" bio reads. "The bilingual Vietnamese beauty currently resides in Miami and is ready to find love with a man who’s as reliable and thoughtful as she is."

Tran, in an interview with USA TODAY, said she "experienced a lot of pressure" being the first Asian American bachelorette, adding that her inclusion is a "very historic moment."

"It's a moment that a lot of people have been waiting for," Tran said. "And it means a lot because we're working towards change."

Tran, who is training to be a physician's assistant, also said that the role didn't come naturally to her, and she was afflicted by impostor syndrome.

“I just never saw myself as a main character before,” Tran said in the interview. But she now realizes, “The perfect bachelorette is just who you are to your core and being yourself."
